Executive Creative Director, King James Group, South Africa
Dan is an Executive Creative Director at King James Group in Cape Town. Having started his career in London, handling public relations for the likes of Coca Cola, Intel and Budweiser, he emigrated to South Africa in 2004 and joined the King james Group in 2008.
He launched Society, the social media agency within the group in 2011 which grew rapidly into one of the most awarded social media teams in the country (now part of King James Digital where he is also a partner). Since then he has taken on a more integrated role within the wider agency as an ECD focusing mostly on digital and earned media led campaigns.
He has been involved in many of King James Group's best known campaigns including Uk’shona Kwelanga (a WhatsApp drama series for financial services brand Sanlam) that picked up multiple awards at the Midas Awards, Cannes, One Show and the Shorty Awards among others in 2018.
